Seasonal Palm Tree Trimmer - Altamonte Springs

A seasonal palm tree trimmer is responsible for maintaining and pruning palm trees to ensure their health, safety, and aesthetic appeal. 

Key Responsibilities

• Pruning and Maintenance: Trim dead or overgrown fronds, remove fruit clusters, and shape palm trees for optimal growth and appearance.
• Safety Measures: Use climbing equipment, safety harnesses, and tools like chainsaws and pole pruners while adhering to safety protocols.
• Debris Removal: Clear and dispose of trimmed branches and debris from the worksite.
• Inspection: Assess trees for signs of disease, pests, or structural issues and report findings
• Customer Interaction: Communicate with property owners to understand their needs and provide advice on palm tree care.

 

Skills and Qualifications

• No experience required in tree trimming or landscaping, will train
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment used in tree maintenance a plus
  • Physical fitness and ability to work at heights
• Valid driver's license
• Certification in tree care or arboriculture (preferred but not always necessary)

 

Work Environment

• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Seasonal employment, often during peak growth or maintenance periods
