About the role

ROLE SUMMARY The Janitorial Service Technician is responsible for performing cleaning of all non-GMP areas including offices, cubicles, meeting rooms, facility main entrances & corridors, cafeteria/break rooms and restrooms, locker rooms, windows, doors, walls. In addition, the selected candidates will be responsible for preparation of cleaning solutions used in the cleaning process. These processes are to be performed in accordance with Janitorial best practices for cleaning, vacuuming, dusting and mopping following checklist guidelines and site policies is a requirement of the position. This position will be working in a penicillin facility.  The candidates must not be allergic to penicillin. The essential duties for this position include but are not limited to: <ul><li>Responsible for performing cleaning of all non-GMP areas including offices, cubicles, meeting rooms, facility main entrances & corridors, cafeteria/break rooms and restrooms, locker rooms, windows, doors, walls. </li></ul><ul><li>Operating cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffing machines and carpet extractors. </li></ul><ul><li>Responsible for cleaning and storage of equipment. </li></ul><ul><li>Accurate and timely completing of non-GMP checklist logs. </li></ul><ul><li>Preparation of cleaning solutions used in the cleaning process. </li></ul><ul><li>Maintains supplies and work areas in a clean and orderly fashion. </li></ul><ul><li>Receives supplies in area and moves to designated storage area. </li></ul><ul><li>Checks equipment and work area to notify supervisor if repairs are needed. </li></ul><ul><li>Flushes, clean and documents safety showers and eye washes. Reports any malfunction to supervisor. </li></ul><ul><li>Disposes of trash and waste properly. </li></ul><ul><li>Assists in maintaining inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies. </li></ul><ul><li>Other duties and/or responsibilities may be assigned at the manager’s discretion. </li></ul>General Expectations <ul><li>Work in a safe manner and report all potential safety issues to leadership in a timely manner </li></ul><ul><li>Perform all tasks in accordance with Janitorial best practices for cleaning, vacuuming, dusting and mopping following checklist guidelines and site policies/requirements. </li></ul><ul><li>Dependable - Follows unit / area / facility requirements and guidelines </li></ul><ul><li>Perform a variety of miscellaneous tasks in support of the Rochester Site objectives </li></ul>Communication and Leadership Expectations <ul><li>Consistently displays behaviors in accordance with Pfizer Core Competencies: Seizes accountability; grows self; change agile; self-awareness; commits to one Pfizer; peer relationships. </li></ul><ul><li>Train and mentor new colleagues and contracted resources
