Job Summary

This Material Program Manager (MPM) role is responsible for managing supply chain tasks in support of key production contracts. As an MPM, you will be the liaison between the program and the supply base, working to ensure material requirements are met for a franchise production program. Key responsibilities include the following: developing and implementing material strategies, monitoring and driving supplier deliveries, contributing to material forecasts, EACs, and proposals as needed.

  • Have the capability to prioritize and manage concurrent, multiple tasks in a cross-functional, fast paced, team-oriented environment

  • Courage to speak up and contribute input to team decisions and outcomes

  • Summarize complex information into succinct impact statements and provide data driven recommendations

  • Drive procurement processes to successful completion in support of a very aggressive schedule of deliveries

  • Identify areas of opportunity for process improvements and be willing to implement within your scope of responsibility

  • Understand overall material strategy and how tactical day to day tasks support it

  • Have the passion and desire for continuous learning

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Financial/Business acumen as it relates to a US Defense contracting environment

  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment

  • Experience in desktop computing tools (MS Excel, Powerpoint and Word, MS Project is a plus)

  • Experience or familiarity with SAP/PRISM

  • CORE Apprentice certification

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
