About The Role
Overview
The Sales Engineer ensures the implementation of the sales strategy, determined by the RBM or Sales Director, and achieves/exceeds the company’s budgeted sales volume within budget and pricing objectives by selling to customers within a sales region and expanding customer base and sales (in value and volume).
Responsibilities
1. Region’s Sales Revenue
- Manage the region to achieve/exceed the sales revenue of the FDT roofing products Rhepanol & Rhenofol.
- Meet/exceed sales performance levels for designated sales territory budget.
- Select the most instrumental contractors to meet the company's market coverage needs.
- Select the most instrumental distributors to meet the company's distribution needs.
- Report monthly, quarterly and yearly sales forecast by product SBU and customer.
2. Sales Channel Management
- Advise on resources needed for the intended budget.
- Expand and coordinate distributor efforts with sales representatives and consultants.
- Develop and implement specific action plans for each Contractor, Installer & Distributor.
- Provide budget (within the margin) according to the customer base for each Sales Rep / Consultant by product.
3. Administrative
- Establish and control sales and merchandising budgets (marcom plan) for all activities.
- Assist in collecting accounts receivable when necessary from contractors and distributors.
- Monitors competitor policy, pricing and field sales activity.
- Manage price (within the margin) of a diversified number of products based on volume purchase.
- Maintain good working rapport with our credit, field technical, customer service, warranty service, roof solutions and technology departments with customer needs and technical feedback.
- Update Sales Force on monthly basis (projects, new contacts, accounts).
- Prepare monthly reporting.
4. Non Currency Measures
- The Sales Engineer is responsible for their area which encompasses an independent field sales force of contractors, installers & distributors, customers, owners, designers, specifiers and architects.
- He/she oversees development and implementation of skill building programs, sales strategies, goals and incentives to foster a strong sales team within the region. Working closely and reporting to the Regional Business Manager in order to reach his annual revenue and square meters/foot.
- Follow up of targeted distribution channels and contractors, along with their people, services, pricing, competitors, and positioning.
- Accessing local sales channels by making sales calls with each, and drafting and implementing a business development plan for each territory. Request the resources (date, budget, support, etc.) and training (in oral presentations and technical skills) to succeed. Attending and conducting the annual regional sales meeting.
