How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Wabtec Bus Solutions/Vapor Bus International group/division, you will be responsible for - Approving incoming materials; conducting visual and measurement tests; and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.    Documentation of inspection results; Keeping measurement equipment operating. Working with manufacturing, engineering, and production workers to ensure quality of the products prior to shipping.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Two years of college degree is preferred or some technical school education with one year of related experience and/or training.
  • Knowledge in Excel, and Word.
  • Quality Audits
  • Oracle is a Plus

What will your typical day look like?

  • Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
  • Document’s inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions, calling for repairs.
