The Work You Will Do:
Senior Statewide Planning Coordinator, Assistant Secretary for Strategic Development/Office of Policy Planning
This position will be responsible for Statewide Planning related to FDOT’s workforce.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Provide expertise in community planning, transportation planning, community engagement, resilience, environmental planning, economic development, and rural planning in support of development and implementation of the Department’s statewide plans and project delivery. Perform complex planning and policy analyses and reports. Analyze, interpret and apply state and federal laws and regulations. Evaluate statewide planning and policy issues that affect transportation planning, community planning, and community engagement. Assist with the development of statewide plans, including the Florida Transportation Plan (FTP) and with implementation activities, including Transportation Planning Exchange, transportation planning, community planning, community engagement, rural economic development initiatives, and other planning activities.
Develop and provide training and technical assistance to staff, districts, consultants, and partners. Provide information and training on community engagement, in coordination with the Office of Environmental Management (OEM). Coordinate and facilitate meetings, workshops, and conferences. As assigned, serve as the official department liaison for outreach initiatives and as the Office of Policy Planning’s (OPP) representative on internal or external committees and working groups.
