Job Description
This role supports the Safety team by promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture across Electrical Division job sites throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. You’ll be responsible for field-level support of safety compliance, performance, and reporting that directly impacts employee well-being, project success, and company-wide safety standards. Success in this role means serving as a hands-on safety leader, building relationships, and developing into a strategic safety professional, all while upholding KE’s commitment to Safety, People, Passion, and Performance. What You’ll Do
You’ll be part of a team that gets things done, works with purpose, and takes pride in the results. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Work alongside and mentor project teams on Knobelsdorff’s safety policies and procedures
- Provide safety education and training to on-site teams
- Oversee and audit project-level safety documentation to ensure KE compliance
- Conduct job site safety audits and incident investigations
- Support pre-construction safety planning
- Attend “tailgate” meetings to review hazards, daily risks, and mitigation strategies
- Assist field teams with on-site safety challenges and provide hands-on support
- Create and maintain safety documentation, including reports and statistics
- Monitor employee adherence to regulations and recommend corrective action
- Collaborate with project leadership to identify and resolve safety issues
- Maintain awareness of Federal, State, OSHA, and NFPA regulations
Qualifications
What You Bring
You’re someone who shows up ready to work hard, learn fast, and contribute to a team that takes pride in doing things right. Successful candidates typically bring:
- Must be available to travel extensively (up to 100%) across assigned regions, including overnight stays
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- First Aid/CPR/AED and Fall Protection Competent Person certification, or willingness to obtain
- OSHA 30 Construction or DOT card within the last 5 years, or willingness to obtain
- Familiarity with construction site operations and administration
- Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems
- Valid driver’s license with a clean, safe driving record
- Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Willingness to learn and grow in the safety profession
Bonus Points For
- 1 year of experience in a safety-related role (Coordinator/Specialist or similar)
- Experience in electrical construction, including NFPA 70, 70E, or 70B
- Safety certification (GSP, CSP, ASP, CHST)
- Fluent bilingual skills – Spanish strongly desired
- Associate’s degree in safety management or construction management
- MEWP, Forklift, and Skid Steer Trainer certification or willingness to obtain
- OSHA 510, 511, 501, 500 certifications

Pay Range

Pay Range: $55,000 – $70,000 per year plus discretionary incentive opportunities
