About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse II with a minimum of two years of nursing experience to join our specialized outpatient rehabilitation team.

This 24-hour/week (0.6 FTE) position primarily works at our E Building (3333 Burnet Avenue) with occasional travel to our Mason, Union, and Eastgate, and other locations to support patient care.

As an RN II, you will coordinate care across multiple specialties, advocate for patients and families, and serve as a key resource throughout each child's rehabilitation experience.

What You'll Do

  • Provide compassionate, family-centered nursing care for pediatric rehabilitation patients.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Develop and support individualized care plans that promote optimal function and independence.
  • Educate patients and families on medications, equipment, therapies, home care, and long-term rehabilitation goals.
  • Monitor patient progress and facilitate seamless care coordination across outpatient visits and specialty services.
  • Triage patient and family concerns, providing clinical guidance and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to support complex pediatric rehabilitation needs.
  • Foster strong relationships with patients and families through excellent communication and compassionate care.

Qualifications

Required

  • Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Ohio or Multistate Compact License.  Will need to obtain a Multistate Compact License if hired.
  • Minimum of two years of professional nursing experience.
  • Strong assessment, communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred

  • Pediatric nursing experience.
  • Outpatient, rehabilitation, neurology, orthopedic, or care coordination experience.
  • Experience working with children with complex medical needs or chronic conditions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Compliance - Patient Services Staff - Sustain a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
