Work Schedule:

  • Third Shift 8:30PM – 7:00AM 
  • Training will be completed working with all three shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd)
  • Must be available to work overtime as needed

 

Summary: The QA Technician will assist in ensuring compliance to company and plant policies and procedures.  Ensure that quality standards and process controls are being met by performing analytical testing and evaluation of materials and finished product. 

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Work consistently in a safe manner.
  2. Test slurries for moisture and salt.
  3. Place non-conforming product on Hold and release product for shipment.
  4. Perform peroxide value, free fatty acid, IV and trans fat testing on incoming oil loads.
  5. Perform microbial and environmental testing.
  6. Perform allergen testing.
  7. Keep proper and accurate documentation of all lab testing and procedures.
  8. Maintain a clean working environment. Follow GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

 

Qualifications: A QA Technician must meet the following qualifications:

  1. Demonstrate quality-oriented attitude, able to meet deadlines and keep up with the daily work schedule.
  2. Experience with GLP, GMP, and Food Safety Programs.
  3. Must be experienced with Microsoft office platform (Excel, Word, etc.).

 

Training Requirements: Food Safety, Food Security, Safety, and Pallet Jack Training, First Aid/CPR, Emergency First Responders, Lock-Out /Tag-Out, Ammonia Training, Chemical Safety Training

 

Physical Demands: Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand and walk in production facility for long periods of time during shift.
