We are looking for a Manager of Security Services (North American Regional Security Manager) to lead the enterprise security operations at more than 400+ sites in the United States and Canada. This position is responsible for all security related matters including operations, protection of tangible and intangible assets, and crisis response concerning the safety of employees. The position leads a team of cross-functional experts with accountability to reduce risk and safeguard the enterprise.
What You Will Do:
- Identify, monitor, address and respond to enterprise level risk/threats while developing and delivering preventative programs and services to protect enterprise personnel and assets
- Set the physical security strategy and employs physical security at enterprise locations
- Provide leadership and work daily with security personnel across Caterpillar enterprise
- Establish appropriate standards and risk controls associated with physical security, key employee security, access controls and workplace violence at the regional and facility level
- Coordinate and implement site security operations to ensure the safety of all employees and the protection of information assets
- Provide briefings to Global Security leadership on the status of security issues impacting operations and integrate into the business unit’s operations within the geographic region
- Develop collaborative relationships with business units; enhances local, state, and federal law enforcement relationships
- Provide expertise, technical guidance, and training to ensure effective security services are carried out with sensitivity to country and cultural variety
- Retain responsibility/oversight of the enterprise workplace violence prevention and response program.
- Consult on annual enterprise security risk assessment and other Chief Security Officer initiatives in Global Security, Global Investigations and Global Intelligence
What You Have (Basic Skills Required):
- Crisis Management: Knowledge of crisis management concepts and techniques; ability to predict, avert, mitigate, and recover from an event that has or could have a severely negative impact on the business
- Risk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to various kinds of risks; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations
- Organizational Leadership: Knowledge of leadership concepts and ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives
- Key Performance Indicators: Knowledge of business metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ability to use strategies and tools for defining and measuring progress toward goals
- Security Management: Knowledge of information, personnel and premises security processes and procedures; ability to develop and maintain appropriate security levels
What will Put you Ahead (Preferred Skills/Experience):
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear, concise and strategic senior level briefings
- Demonstrated thought leadership and initiative to develop, plan and execute security strategies
- 15+ years of Federal, State, Local, or Department of Defense law enforcement and/or US Intelligence Community Agency experience in a complex investigative task force environment regarding violations of US law
