Job Description

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Administrative Assistant III, UNLV PRACTICE [R0150356].

ROLE of the POSITION

The UNLV PRACTICE is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant III, which serves as the Office Manager for a busy community mental health training clinic.

Duties include, yet not limited to the following:

  • Supervision of student workers, include graduate assistants in implementing all front desk duties in compliance with all health care policies and procedures (e.g., HIPAA) related to client/patient flow; ensuring front desk coverage providing ongoing formative and summative evaluation of performance.

  • Management of client accounts including creating invoices, entering payments, allocating funds, resolving discrepancies and creating deposits for cashiering.

  • Oversight of electronic medical record system (EMR) including scheduling of clients, assisting student clinicians with appointments and room reservations, maintaining calendars and resolving conflicts in the system.

  • Physical maintenance of all clinic spaces on and off-campus including but not limited to ordering keys, requesting repairs, telecom requests, and keeping all spaces, furnishing and equipment in good repair, clean and organized.

  • Maintaining and organizing general operations/office supply inventory.

  • Assisting director in special projects related to clinic/office admiration as assigned.

This is an on-site position, Monday – Friday, no remote option is available.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation
