About this opportunity – Warehouse Supervisor
Description
Balt is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse team in handling and distributing Class II/Class III medical devices. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the efficient storage, inventory, and distribution of products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Key responsibilities include coordinating the unloading of shipping containers, organizing and maintaining supplies, scheduling and coordinating shipments, and managing physical inventory. The Warehouse Supervisor will coordinate with other departments, improve shipping procedures, supervise warehouse staff, and maintain safety and quality standards to optimize workflow and meet service and efficiency targets.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for supervising/guiding warehouse staff and coordinating all warehouse activities.
- Accountable for supervising warehouse department objectives and metrics.
- Ensure that accurate and complete records of department activities are kept and that they meet regulatory requirements.
- Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
- Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
- Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
- Communicating and coordinating with other departments and external suppliers.
- Oversees execution of periodic cycle counts ensuring proper reconciliation with Finance.
- Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees.
- Directly responsible for the hiring, training, and performance management processes for all warehouse personnel.
- Ensure warehouse procedures and policies effectively support a culture of strong quality compliance.
- Responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as well as company policies.
Qualification Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required; Degree in business, management, logistics or a related field preferred.
- Previous medical device warehouse experience required (3 years minimum).
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA regulations and experience working in an ISO 13485 certified facility.
