We will deliver direct support in implementing and sustaining mission critical IT networks and robust cyber defense services with compliance to all Cyber Task Orders (CTOs).We are seeking a highly skilled Data and Information Systems Lead to oversee the integration, performance, and operational relevance of IT and cyber systems for the SCITES 2 Task Order (TO) in support of USSOUTHCOM. This position will be accountable for ensuring that all IT systems are data-centric, operationally relevant, and effectively integrated into USSOUTHCOM's decision support frameworks at all levels of command. The Data and Information Systems Lead will be responsible for delivering seamless, user-centric information systems that provide real-time, actionable data to the right users, at the right time, and for the right reasons, directly supporting mission success.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES· Lead the effort to ensure IT and cyber systems are operationally relevant, data-centric, and fully integrated into USSOUTHCOM’s decision-making processes, supporting all echelons of command.· · Oversee the design, integration, and optimization of information systems that enhance the usability and performance of data-centric solutions within USSOUTHCOM's operational environment.· · Ensure that information systems are designed with an intuitive user experience (UX) that allows the right users to access the right data, at the right time, and for the right reasons, thereby enabling effective and timely decision-making.· · Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity and IT specialists, to ensure seamless integration of information systems with existing technologies and platforms.· · Drive continuous improvement in the performance of IT and cyber systems, ensuring that systems are highly available, responsive, and capable of meeting evolving mission requirements.· · Provide leadership and oversight for data governance, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility across all systems and platforms.· · Develop strategies and processes to monitor and improve IT system performance and cyber resilience, ensuring operational readiness and system reliability.· · Ensure the effective implementation of information technology solutions that enhance the performance of USSOUTHCOM operations, ensuring timely access to mission-critical data.· · Coordinate with senior leadership to align information system performance with strategic objectives, supporting both operational and tactical needs.· · Lead the assessment, integration, and optimization of data management tools and technologies, with a focus on improving decision support and operational efficiency.SUPERVISORY DUTIES· Yes
QUALIFICATIONS Required Certifications· Clearance: Active Secret Clearance· Certifications: Security+ or CASP+Education, Background, and Years of Experience· 5 to 7 years of experience in managing and integrating data and information systems, IT systems performance optimization, and cyber systems in complex environments, preferably in a military or defense-related setting.
