About the role

Description

  

We are looking for a detail-oriented Family Office Accounting Professional within the private client group of our wealth management firm, located in Northern Bergen County, NJ. The ideal candidate will have accounting, bookkeeping and administrative experience with a financial firm dealing with high-net-worth clients.


This position offers work from home availability 2 days per week after initial orientation period.


Position responsibilities:

  • Prepare bank and account reconciliations 
  • Prepare and enter journal entries
  • Help maintain accurate and organized financial records and support documentation
  • Scan, file, and organize invoices, statements, receipts, and other accounting records
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and reporting requests as needed
  • Provide general accounting, administrative support across family office and related business entities
  • Complete other duties as assigned


Requirements


The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online & Quicken experience required
  • Minimum 5 Years’ bookkeeping experience in a family office environment required
  • Excellent computer proficiency (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe and Outlook) 
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Fiduciary trust accounting a plus
  • Tax preparation and administration experience a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a small office environment
  • Ability to communicate professionally with high-net-worth clients
  • Positive attitude and get it done mindset
  • Ability to pivot and multitask on multiple projects
