About Us: Artera is an AI startup that develops medical artificial intelligence tests to personalize therapy for cancer patients. Artera is on a mission to personalize medical decisions for patients and physicians on a global scale.
The Senior Director of People Ops at Artera is responsible for developing and implementing human resources policies and programs that support the overall business objectives of the organization, including international expansion. The role requires a strategic and operational leader who can lead the HR function, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all countries of operation, and provide guidance to the executive team on HR-related matters.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with Artera's business goals, including international expansion.
  • Create and execute HR policies and procedures that comply with relevant legislation and regulations in all countries of operation.
  • Oversee the recruitment, selection, and retention of top talent across Artera, including in international locations.
  • Develop and maintain compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate employees in all countries of operation.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team at Artera, ensuring that they deliver high-quality services to internal stakeholders across all locations.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management in all countries of operation.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership at Artera to ensure that HR programs support the achievement of business objectives, including international expansion.
  • Provide counsel and advice to the executive team at Artera on HR-related matters, including talent management, organizational design, and workforce planning in all countries of operation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and legal requirements in all countries of operation.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in human resources, with a focus on strategic HR leadership, including experience with international expansion.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team in a global context.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and align HR strategies with Artera's overall business objectives, including in international markets.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing effective HR policies and programs in a global context.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices in all countries of operation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization across different cultural contexts.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities in a global context.
  • SHRM certification is preferred.
