Work Schedule

This is a full time, 100% FTE position. Scheduled shifts will be 8:30 am – 5:00 pm with a weekend rotation and occasional evenings. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Registered Dietitian / Senior Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to: 

  • Acquire and interpret blood sugar data from continuous glucose monitors, insulin pumps and meters and make recommendations such as dietary, pump, medications and lifestyle.
  • Optimize diet for diabetes management, reduction in insulin resistance, PCOS, Osteoporosis, weight management
  • Provide instruction and precept dietetic interns through UW didactic program in ambulatory setting
  • Participate in collaborative care team environment within
  • Provide nutrition counseling grounded in motivational interviewing

Education:

Minimum – Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or related field 

Preferred – Master’s Degree in Nutrition or related field 

Work Experience:

Minimum – One (1) year of clinical and nutrition related experience

Preferred – Two (2) years of clinical and nutrition related experience 

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - 

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist as delineated by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Certification/Licensure as required by the State of Wisconsin

Preferred – 

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist as delineated by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Certified Dietitian in the State of Wisconsin
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) or Board Certified-Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM)

Eastpark Medical Center - UW Health’s new state-of-the-art ambulatory facility will transform the patient experience and offer cutting-edge proton therapy. This 469,000-square-foot ambulatory facility will house many specialties, including women’s complex care, adult cancer care, advanced imaging and laboratory services and innovative clinical trials. It will be located across from East Madison Hospital on Eastpark Blvd. and is slated to open in fall 2024.
