Summary

At Precision Solutions, we are seeking a Design Engineer Specialist - CAD/AutoCAD to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This role requires an active Top-Secret Clearance and involves leading the design and quality assurance efforts for structured cable design projects. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise across multiple project assignments, with a strong background in CAD and telecommunication distribution design.

 

Responsibilities

• Provide an Installation Design Plan (IDP) in accordance with the customers’ site-specific technical requirements
• Be responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with IDP
• Conduct audits and review/analyze data and documentation to ensure quality
• Review the content of technical documentation for quality and ensure documents delivered follow the sample IDP provided after the award
• Modify CAD architectural/electrical plans to fit the needs of the customers’ IDP
• Work on multiple project assignments simultaneously, leveraging structured cable design experience

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in physical network infrastructure design or installation
• Minimum of five (5) years of documented experience using CAD, preferably AutoCAD
• Minimum of five (5) years of documented design experience with Telecommunication Distribution Design
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Education/Certification Requirements

• Must be a BICSI and RCDD certified

Clearance Requirements

• Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active Top Secret clearance is required.
