Senior Transport Manager (f/m)

DP World, a leading provider of intelligent logistics solutions enabling the flow of trade worldwide, is looking for a candidate for the position of Senior Transport Manager’ for its branch in Łódź, Poland.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient, and cost‑effective day‑to‑day operations at each site, including oversight of carrier relationships and asset‑based transport teams to align operations with overall business goals.

You will report directly to the Commercial Director (Transport & Forwarding), as well as communicate any process changes requiring operational changes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Road Freight Director to deliver and execute global freight strategies for sights in Ireland, Netherlands and Poland
• Working with various internal teams to develop contracts and manage relationships with carriers, external stakeholders and 3PLs
• Actively manage freight costs, service and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities
• Manage and own individual site Budgets, assisting each team to ensure Budget targets are met
• Monitor and ensure cost control measures to ensure profitability and operational sustainability
• Manage logistics related risks, including geopolitical challenges, customs issues and supply chain disruptions
• Implement best practices across multiple sites to ensure efficiency, scalability and cost effectiveness

Qualifications, experience and skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree, relevant experience
• 15 + years in Freight industry, preferably with history of managing own assets plus a background managing final mile partners within EU
• Working knowledge of TMS /WMS required
• Strong ability to ensure Customer satisfaction and proven ability to build long lasting relationships
• Management of multiple offices in different Geography and willingness to travel
• Strong Financial Acumen and experience in budgeting, forecasting and cost management
• Strong track record of hitting ambitious sales and operational goals
• Excellent sales background and an individual who can negotiate to deliver the best result for the company and customer
•  Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to deal with both internal and external stakeholders.
