WHAT WE OFFER
The Turnaround (TA) Planning and Scheduling Lead is accountable for leading and managing turnaround planning and scheduling activities at Covestro’s Baytown (BTN) site. They organize and develop the strategy for each event and operate up to 3 TA events at any one time while managing resources concurrently.
The purpose of the role is to ensure efficient and effective Planning and Scheduling for the BTN turnaround events. The incumbent leads a team of TA planners and schedulers to prepare and deliver a successful turnaround. The planning and scheduling processes are considered the most critical activities for a successful event. An effective TA planning and scheduling system significantly impacts the sites business results including MoEf, Planned Shutdown Time (PST), and CapEX expenditures.
Major Responsibilities
Develops and implements Planning and Scheduling premise defining the objectives, reporting and KPI's and to use these to measure and drive performance improvements.
Develop the strategy and execution of planning and scheduling activities for upcoming turnaround events at Baytown Site
Defines and maintains responsibility for comprehensive planning and scheduling aligned with timeline defined by TES, and in compliance with technical standards and plant procedures (such as Safety procedures)
Effectively guide turnaround preparation with Ops and Reliability utilizing processes (TTC, job validation).
Lead planning and scheduling resources, develop performance KPIs for all phases of turnaround event aligned with TA Manager.
Execute weekly meetings with planners, schedulers, inspectors, and material personnel to address issues and drive resolution in a timely manner.
Ability to identify and recommend areas of improvement in Planning and Scheduling, adapt new technology and innovation.
Coordinate with TA Manager to assess CapEX scope and administer the transition of IFC packages into planning and further integration into schedule.
Responsible for coordinating and developing a strategy with Operations on the implementation of Instrument & Electrical and Power Distribution scope during Execution.
Manage and coordinate PCT Technical resources and specialty contractors required to execute the turnaround.
Develop a robust schedule that ensures Ops alignment and completion within defined TES timeline.
Ensure schedule is effectively progressed and reported to guide the turnaround execution.
Partner with Execution Lead and drive discovery management process from planning through execution (AWR, CL#, IWR etc), warranting quality and speed to support timely turnaround completion.
WHAT YOU OFFER
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and 15+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment with turnaround experience and related experience in the fields of operations, maintenance, and projects OR;
Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment with turnaround experience and related experience in the fields of operations, maintenance, and projects OR;
Master’s degree and 5+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment with turnaround experience and related experience in the fields of operations, maintenance, and projects
The eligibility to apply for and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within a reasonable timeframe
Knowledge & Skills:

Overall understanding of maintenance, turnarounds and reliability practices developed via years of experience working in industrial manufacturing or refining facility.
