Hybrid 2 (Operational Roles such as but not limited to: Customer Service, Claims Processors, and Correspondence positions): must reside in AZ, unless otherwise cited within this posting, required to be onsite at least once per month
Onsite: daily onsite requirement based on the essential functions of the job
Remote: not held to onsite requirements, however, leadership can request presence onsite for business reasons including but not limited to staff meetings, one-on-ones, training, and team building
Please note that onsite requirements may change in the future, based on business need, and job responsibilities. Most employees should expect onsite requirements and at a minimum of once per week.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Responsible for maintaining building / facility systems and managing maintenance staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Work Experience
- 5 years of experience in commercial building plumbing maintenance.
- High-School Diploma or GED in general field of study
- A valid Arizona driver license with an acceptable driving record
Required Certifications
- Arizona Journeyman’s Plumbing Certificate, or completion of apprenticeship program
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Work Experience- 8 years of experience in plumbing and building maintenance
- Experience with computerized energy management systems
- Associate's Degree in general field of study
- N/A
Preferred Certifications
- Arizona Journeyman’s Plumbing Certificate, or completion of apprenticeship program
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees the design, installation, and maintenance of plumbing for water distribution systems in commercial properties
- Responsibilities: Locate and fix leaks and blockages, repair or replace broken parts, test the plumbing system, Install, maintain, and repair fixtures like sinks, toilets, and hot water heaters. Assemble, install, or repair pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water, or drainage systems, according to specifications or plumbing codes.
- Maintain and perform preventative maintenance schedules on all plumbing and water systems on all major facilities equipment.
- Solder and sweat pipe lines and joints as needed
- Operates, maintains, monitors, and performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on all building plumbing and water distribution systems.
- Maintains the professional appearances of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas.
- Oversees and inspects the work performed by outside contractors for plumbing maintenance work.
- Assists with, as needed, specialized and complex tasks such as carpentry, electrical, painting, roofing, and locksmith tasks.
- Utilizes energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum.
- Complete all documentation for work order system and preventative maintenance systems.
- Miscellaneous drywall, paint and carpentry repairs and plumbing repairs.
- Submit suggestions for change and improvement of procedures and methods to Facilities Manager as necessary and requested.
- Manage facilities maintenance projects as directed by Facilities Manager and Senior Building Maintenance Engineer.
- Other facility maintenance work as assigned.
