Job Description Overview:
The ASUS NUC AET Manager will be a dynamic leader who will lead the ASUS NUC Advanced Engineering Team (based in US Oregon office) and will be responsible for driving advanced technology and innovation development for ASUS NUC. This role will play a pivotal part ASUS NUCs performance and innovation leadership in the market and set ASUS NUC apart from the competition. The AET Manager will be expected to function both independently and in a team environment, collaborating with leading edge IHV and ISV partners and internal stakeholders to deliver a technology and innovation roadmap that establishes ASUS NUC as an innovation leader.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the advanced engineering team to develop industry leading technologies and innovations.
- Owns the technology and innovation ideation process and 2-3 year roadmap for ASUS NUC.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships focused on collaboration to advance our innovation aspirations.
- Create POC developments to prove out and de-risk innovation concepts
- Drives continuous process improvement and proactive technology development activities with ODMs and their factories to deliver innovations.
- Gathers insights from customer engagements and market sensing to identify key pain points and use data & statistics to determine where to prioritize our technology and innovation efforts.
- Confidently speak to status and issues in meetings, in addition to well-crafted emails containing clear status and help needed
- Collaborate with functional teams and business units to deliver technology solutions to the market including, but not limited to, speaking to feature capabilities, technical deep dives, etc.
- Maintain good attendance and punctuality
Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiar with technology development and maturation processes, procedures and analysis.
- Familiar with Product Lifecycle management
- Familiar with Intel X86 architecture
- Familiar with PC board level and system level architecture
- Knowledge of product development and manufacturing systems and methods for electronic equipment/PCs.
- Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving skills, and ability to break down complex problem statements
- Assist in integration of development methodologies between different teams within ASUS
- Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Required Qualifications:
Years of Education
•Bachelor of Science or Master in either Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
Work Experience
- Proven (10+ years) experience in managing technology and product development teams within the technology sector, with experience in PC system and hardware design
