Summary:

Responsible for helping lead and contributing to strategic, data-related communications, literacy, and change management initiatives. This position blends data, strategy, communication, literacy, and change management skills to help evolve Huntington’s data culture and strengthen our ability to manage data quality and regulatory risk, better exploit analytics, and improve collaboration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of an ongoing communications plan for Enterprise Data to enable the ability to “tell the story” with data. 
  • Develop internal communications templates, materials and channels for strategic collateral. 
  • Prepare presentations and maintain communication vehicles (e.g., Essentials, SharePoint) related to our data strategy and literacy program.
  • Create change management strategy as needed for CDAO (Chief Data & Architecture Office) initiatives.
  • Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities. 
  • Assess organizational readiness and the change impact on projects and initiatives.
  • Create project plans and actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan. 
  • Identify, analyze, prepare risk mitigation tactics, identify and manage anticipated resistance, complete change management assessments.
  • Facilitate training and change management plans for the adoption of Enterprise Data and coach project teams and managers accordingly.   
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress, track and report issues. 
  • Support change management at the both the business unit and enterprise level.
  • Partner, develop, and communicate Data Literacy Awareness Strategy throughout the enterprise. 
  • Promote a shared ‘data language’ relevant to all colleagues that will help colleagues be better equipped to optimally apply data to day-to-day work and support a mindset of data-driven decision making. 
  • Execute a full range of communications tactics to enhance colleague engagement and promote understanding of data priorities and key initiatives. 
  • Respond to key metrics to drive improvements to Literacy efforts.
  • Contribute to the mapping of educational content to data personas (e.g., frontline colleagues, data practitioners, managers, and leadership) in tight alignment with Learning & Development. 
  • Ensure the development of on-line learning and workshops tie back to specific personas. 
  • Support training and communication efforts and coach managers and colleagues as appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8+ years of experience on a large multi-year transformation effort, in strategy, process improvement, communications, and/or training, and of applied experience designing, solving, managing, facilitating, and delivering business impact with data and analytics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading data-related initiatives/efforts.
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.  A solid understanding of how people experience change, and the change process overall; experience with Prosci ADKAR® Model.
  • Change management certification or designation desired; Prosci Certification a plus.  Ability to work as a change agent and influence across organizational boundaries.
  • Experience working in a data environment with experience in data strategy, data management, data quality, and/or data governance.  Strong familiarity with data and analytics terminology and methodology.
  • Experience with learning and development strategies (ex: instructional design/content development/facilitation and delivery).
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully partner with internal stakeholders from various parts of the organization and achieve successful outcomes cross-functionally.
  • Background in project management and/or Agile methodology.   Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate information to all levels, and the ability to strengthen, simplify and visually present complex information.  Ability to craft a clear and compelling case for change and vision for the future.
  • Progressive experience in leading and influencing cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide programs, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex contexts.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences and influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
