Job Summary
The Director of Warehouse Operations is responsible for the end-to-end performance, execution, and governance of all third-party logistics (3PL) partners, including warehousing, fulfillment, transportation support, and inventory management. This role ensures outsourced operations deliver against service, cost, quality, and compliance expectations while maintaining strong operational discipline and data integrity across the network.This leader serves as the primary owner of 3PL execution, acting as the bridge between physical warehouse operations, system data, financial accuracy, and customer service outcomes. Success in this role requires strong operational leadership, deep understanding of warehouse and inventory processes, and the ability to enforce standards with external partners.

Key Responsibilities
3PL Performance & Vendor Management
Own day-to-day and strategic performance of all 3PL partners across warehousing and fulfillment operations
Establish, track, and standardize KPIs across all 3PL sites, including service levels, cost performance, inventory accuracy, and productivity
Lead regular performance reviews, audits, and business reviews with 3PL leadership
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and SLAs; drive corrective actions when performance falls short
Serve as the primary escalation point for operational, service, or execution issues impacting customers or inventory integrity
Inventory Management & Control
Ensure accurate, timely, and consistent inventory execution across all 3PL-operated facilities
Oversee and enforce cycle count programs, physical inventories, reconciliation processes, and variance investigation standards
Drive root-cause analysis and corrective action for inventory discrepancies, shrink, damage, and loss
Monitor inventory health, including aging, excess, damaged inventory, and disposition processes
Partner closely with Planning and Finance to validate inventory levels, resolve discrepancies, and support financial close and audit readiness
Improve inventory visibility, traceability, and system integrity across WMS, ERP, and reporting platforms
Operational Execution & Standardization
Drive standardization of operating procedures, reporting, and workflows across all 3PL sites
Ensure consistent execution of inbounding, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes
Lead root-cause analysis for operational failures and service defects and ensure timely corrective action
Support capacity planning, peak readiness, and contingency planning in partnership with Transp
