Job Description

This role will be based in NYC, Chicago, Omaha, SF, or Sunnyvale.

As part of LinkedIn’s Product Experience Insights team, you’ll contribute to our vision of enabling a friction-free product experience for every member and customer. Our mission is to elevate experiences by driving action from insights and empathy. We value adaptability, impact, and proactive problem-solving. In this role, you’ll help prevent and reduce friction by partnering with R&D, testing new features, and surfacing actionable insights that shape our products. 

As a Senior Insights Analyst, you will leverage LinkedIn’s proprietary data and advanced analytics to generate actionable insights, drive product improvements, and elevate member and customer experiences. You’ll play a key role in identifying friction points, advocating data-driven solutions, and collaborating across teams to inform product strategy and roadmap. 

Responsibilities 

  • Generate actionable insights using advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and data visualization tools (SQL, Presto, Spark, Python, Tableau, PowerPoint). 

  • Apply causal inference and predictive analytics to identify trends, measure impact, and develop new product quality metrics. 

  • Integrate signals from diverse sources (customer support, social media, behavioral data) to uncover friction points and opportunities. 

  • Leverage large language models (LLMs) such as GPT to infer, theme, and address member friction, and advocate for data-driven solutions. 

  • Utilize emerging AI tools (e.g., Glean, Copilot) to build agentic workflows, automate insights, and scale analytics capabilities. 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Operations, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Engineering, and other stakeholders to translate insights into strategic recommendations. 

  • Build and scale analytical tools, dashboards, and reporting solutions to democratize insights and enable self-serve analytics. 

  • Coach and enable teams on analytics methodologies, tools, and best practices.   

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications    

  • 5+ years experience in an analytics or quantitative role    

  • Bachelors Degree in math, statistics, economics or related quantitative field    

  • 5+ years experience in a role requiring research, data interrogation, analysis and visualization      

  • 5+ years experience writing and optimizing SQL queries to extract trends    

Preferred Qualifications    

  • Advanced degree (MA/MS/PhD) in a quantitative field. 

  • Experience influencing product strategy and measuring impact through actionable insights. 

  • Expertise in transforming complex data sets into clear recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Background in technology, product, or consultative industries delivering data-driven strategies. 

  • Proficiency in big data technologies (Hadoop, Python for ETL), statistical modeling (Python/R), and data visualization (Tableau). 

  • Skilled in experimental design and A/B testing. 

  • Understanding social media and consumer Internet practices. 

  • Experience leveraging LLMs and emerging AI tools to address member friction and streamline operations
