Phlebotomist Floater

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Columbus, GA.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Fridays 8:00am-5:00pm with 1-hour lunch break, schedule may start as early as 6:00am- and work as late as 6:00pm depending on work location and travel and Saturday rotations

Floater will cover Columbus, Lagrange and Americus GA and Auburn, GA areas.

 Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary

• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

• Maintain patient and specimen information logs

• Provide superior customer service to all patients

• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

• 2 years or more of clinical experience in a hospital or physician
  office/lab experience

• 2 years or more of Excellent customer service experience within healthcare

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 years or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service

• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment

• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation

• Be at least 21 years’ old.

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
