The</span><strong><span data-contrast="auto"> ACLU Voting Rights Project (VRP) </span></strong><span data-contrast="auto">of the National office in </span><strong><span data-contrast="auto">New York </span></strong><span data-contrast="auto">seeks applicants to consider for a </span><strong><span data-contrast="auto">sponsored fellowship</span></strong><span data-contrast="auto"> such as Equal Justice Works, Skadden, or other public interest fellowships to begin in the fall of 2027. This is a </span><strong><span data-contrast="auto">hybrid role </span></strong><span data-contrast="auto">that has in-office requirements of two (2) days per week or eight (8) days per month.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335551550":6,"335551620":6,"335559739":200,"335559740":240}"> </span></p> <p><span data-contrast="auto">Established in 1965, VRP has worked to advance gains in political participation won by voters of color since passage of the 1965 Voting Rights Act (VRA). Since its inception, the Voting Rights Project has litigated hundreds of voting rights cases, and has aggressively and successfully challenged efforts to suppress voting or to dilute minority voting strength.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335551550":1,"335551620":1,"335559739":200,"335559740":240}"> </span></p> <p><span data-contrast="auto">The Project’s mission is to build and defend an accessible, inclusive, and equitable democracy free from racial discrimination. The Project has three principles: (1) all Americans should be eligible to vote; (2) voting should be free and easy; and (3) all people should count equally.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"1342331
