Credit and Collection Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, collaborative and results-oriented individual to join our 10X team as a Credit and Collection Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit and collections dealing with increased levels of operational complexity and transaction volumes.

Under the direction of the Sr. Credit and Collection Manager, this individual will be an integral member of the accounting team. This individual will be a significant contributor to the accounting close and reporting process, interface with auditors for the annual audit, as well as running large components of the daily accounting function. In addition, this individual will partner with other departments with the company to streamline processes that impact the accounting function.

What you will be doing:

The Credit and Collection Specialist will be responsible for major areas of the accounting function:

• Credit and collections and respond to customer inquiries or concerns.
• Posting of accounts receivable payments.
• Reconciling customer accounts including but not limited to refunds, cash application errors, and credit memos. 
• Partner with operations partners to ensure accurate information is entered into the sales order system.
• Monthly, quarterly and annual close process including account reconciliations and account review.
• Assist and interface with external auditors for annual audit.
• Process documentation in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.

 Minimum Requirements:

•  5+ years of experience working in credit and collections and performing the monthly close for private and public industry.
• Prior corporate credit and collection experience.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting with strong attention to detail.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must manage multiple priorities well and handle projects with short deadlines with extreme attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team-based environment.
• Must be able to take full ownership of assignments and responsibilities.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Accounting function in the life science industry is a plus.
• Associate degree or higher is a plus.
• Extensive experience working in ERP systems. Knowledge of Oracle Cloud is a plus.

Below is the base pay range for this full time position.  The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience.  At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package.  This role is also eligible for 10x’s equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.  Your 10x recruiter can share more about the Company’s total compensation package during the hiring process.

Pay Range$78,000—$95,000 USD
