By developing innovative treatments, we improve the lives of people living with brain diseases. </span></p> <p> </p> <p><span>Do you have a background in analytical chemistry with a focus on small molecules – or are you motivated to quickly build expertise in this area?<br/></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span>Whether you're already experienced or eager to grow, you could be our new Analytical Chemist or Senior Analytical Chemist, where working with small molecules and analytical techniques is at the core of what we do.</span></p> <p><span><strong> </strong></span></p> <p><span><strong>Your new role</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span>You will take part in the support to our chemical production <em>e.g.</em> by in-process control analysis and you will perform QC tasks when working with release analysis of starting materials, intermediates, and raw materials.</span></li> <li><span>You will be involved in analytical method development for our new chemical entries.</span></li> <li><span>You will collaborate with highly skilled technicians working with a large range of different analytical techniques (UHPLC; HPLC, GC, KF etc.).</span></li> <li><span>You will also contribute to other tasks such as qualification of equipment, writing Standard Operating Procedures, working instructions, analytical procedures, documenting deviations as well as development and maintenance of other systems.</span></li> <li><span>Participate in cross-organizational teams and project activities.    </span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>Your future team</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span>Analytical Development (AD) is part of the Chemical &amp; Pharmaceutical Development (C&amp;PD) organization. C&amp;PD is a division responsible for the CMC development and innovation within new drug candidates based on chemically synthesized molecules.  </span></li> <li><span>The department consists of 24 people equally divided between technicians and scientists. </span></li> <li><span>The department has facilities in Valby and in Lumsås where we have this open job opportunity.</span></li> <li><span>In Lumsås, you'll be part of a small and collaborative team working with analytical chemistry. As our new analytical chemist, you’ll work closely with experienced colleagues – both chemists and technicians – in a hands-on and supportive setting.</span></li> <li><span>The main responsibility of AD, Lumsås is to give analytical support to the manufacture of Lundbeck’s pipeline of small molecule API’s for use in clinical trials etc. </span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>What you bring to the team</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span>Our preferred candidate has the following personal and professional qualifications:</span></p> <p> </p> <ul type="disc"> <li><span>MSc within chemistry, pharmaceutical science, engineering, or another relevant scientific background.</span></li> <li><span>Experience with analytical techniques used in small molecule development, supported by a general knowledge of organic chemistry.</span></li> <li><span>Experience with UHPLC, HPLC, GC or other relevant analytical techniques.</span></li> <li><span>Preferably, practical experience working under GMP or similar quality systems, and the ability to work in a structured way.</span></li> <li><span>A motivated approach and a collaborative attitude, comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.</span></li> <li><span>Proficiency in spoken and written Danish and English.</span></li> </ul> <p><span><strong> </strong></span></p> <p><span><span><strong>Our promise to you </strong></span><span> </span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span>Lundbeck offers an inspiring workplace and innovative culture, where our curiosity, accountability and adaptability enable us to transform lives.
