Job Description

Quality Auditor is primarily responsible for assisting in the execution of internal and external audits per The Quality Management System (QMS).  Quality Audior daily responsibilities include ensuring polices and procedures are in compliance, recommending corrections to the manufacturing team and preparing reports of findings. Additionally, our Quality Auditor understands the standards and principles of auditing and the auditing techniques of examining, questioning, evaluating and reporting to determine a quality system's adequacy and deficiencies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: may include all the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs quality tasks as outlined in Job Instructions of The Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Performs quality inspections, document, and record inspection results.
  • Monitor and assist in maintaining logbooks
  • Verify set-ups are correct
  • Responsible for communicating with the Manufacturing and Engineering Team regarding quality problems or concerns
  • Ensure that all rejected material is properly marked and moved to a nonconformance area
  • Verify part quality, correct labels, and first piece production parts are per spec and standard
  • Assist in training New Hires on key quality elements of a good manufactured parts or products
  • Read and interpret part drawings and understand tolerances
  • Assists in continuous improvement using the disciplines outlined in the Quality System Manual
  • Assists in external and internal audits
  • Maintain assigned workstation in an organized and clean manner
  • Complete all required paperwork relating to the quality of production
  • Follow all business and safety guidelines
  • Any and all tasks assigned

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry as a Quality Professional; ASQ certification (CQE, CQA) not required, but is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Advance knowledge and experience using measuring equipment and gages
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and differentiate colors
  • Strong attention to detail, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong Computer Skills (MS Office)
  • Detailed orientated and self-starter
