Adjunct Professor - English, School of Liberal Studies
JOB LOCATION: On-Campus
JOB SUMMARY
Spalding University's School of Liberal Arts invites applications for adjunct professors to teach undergraduate classes in College Writing.
Contracts may be renewed for additional terms based on departmental needs, funding ability, and candidate performance. A minimum of a Master’s degree in English, Composition or a related discipline is required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teaching in-person classes Mondays through Thursdays, 11 am to 12:15 pm, for 8 weeks
- Participating in professional development sessions with other first-year writing instructors
- Following School of Liberal Arts and University standards for course syllabi and LMS (Canvas)
Qualifications
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree in English, Composition, or a related discipline
- Teaching experience in higher education is preferred
INTERRELATIONS
- Regular or daily contact with administration, faculty, staff, and students.
- Must have an appreciation and respect for diverse populations.
