Position Summary:
As a Receiving Material Coordinator, you will assist in the resolution of problematic issues that may arise in the department to free staff to continue with routine daily activities. This position will act as a liaison between the Distribution Center and the Home Office Purchasing Department by representing the interests of all parties. This position will also be responsible for performing all aspects of the receiving function in a timely, accurate manner including but not limited to loading and unloading of merchandise into the distribution center as well as participating in the entering and coordination of delivery of all merchandise.

Do These Responsibilities Interest YOU?
- Support material handler staff with resolving complex issues within department
- Match vendor merchandise with Benco purchase order/transfer ticket and vendor packing list for accuracy
- Ensure that stock items are sent to stockroom in a timely manner
- Unload the UPS trailer and freight trucks
- Call vendor concerning shortages, incorrect shipments and damages, resolves vendor problems in a profitable way for Benco, and advises purchasing department of other discrepancies
- Deliver items, (FedEx, etc.) to other departments as needed
- Prioritize oldest purchasing orders to help ensure prompt receiving
- Accurately match customer backorder labels with correct product for timely invoices and shipment
- Operate forklift and/or pallet jack in a safe manner
- Maintain purchase order file and vendor’s package list file
- Proactively address Vendor Compliance issues and opportunities
- Evaluate merchandise not ordered
- Create/maintain problem status logs to ensure special handling of problem orders
- Develop and apply in-depth understanding of all DC and Merchandise systems to effectively problem solve
- Partner/collaborate with all appropriate resources in the DC and Home Office to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with hourly associates and DC leadership
- Understand impact vs. intent and adjusts communication style to achieve optimal outcome
- Ensure that damaged/problem merchandise are identified and processed according to established guidelines
- Collaborate with vendors and purchasing to resolve issues centered around overages/shortages
- Work with Benco’s Regulatory department to track and resolve pharmaceutical issues.
Do YOU Meet These Requirements?
- Education:
- HS Diploma/GED required
- 1-3 years prior distribution center experience
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Knowledge of dental products
- Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack (Requires forklift certification - Benco will provide this certification)
- Prior receiving experience preferred
- Possesses an in-depth knowledge of merchandise and technical terms
- Knowledgeable in Prelude and Microsoft Office
- Physical:
- Able to move/lift 50 lbs. unassisted
- Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment
- Position spends 100% amount of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing
- Position may require climbing of ladders for top-level selection
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The base pay rate of $21/hour represents the low end of the hiring salary range for
