Global Community Affairs Intern (Year-Round, Local to Austin)

The Global Community Affairs intern is a key contributor to our small team. Job duties include assisting in the execution and communication of community and volunteer programs for the company, including employee giving programs, internal community campaigns, grantmaking to nonprofits, external outreach and community volunteer events.

Job Requirements:

• Student must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Public Relations, Public Affairs, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Social Work, or a related field
• Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written – is a must
• Project management experience with little direction required in both planning and execution
• Thorough organization skills with attention to details
• The ability to multi-task and take initiative
• Creativity and flexibility
• Experience with MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel

The preferred list includes:

Experience in event planning and fundraising

Marketing and/or campaigns with demonstrated results

Nonprofit experience (paid or volunteer)

Leadership skills

Positive attitude

Social impact knowledge

Compensation

$22 - $30 per hour

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including education level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
