Jr. Operations Specialist (Portfolio Services)

Job Description

Oppenheimer's Operations team is seeking a candidate that will support the daily functioning of the Portfolio Services department.

Responsibilities:

• Work independently and cooperatively within specified section
• Comply with section policies, procedures and escalation protocols
• Participate in knowledge transfer with senior and junior staff
• Control and address the transaction processing within the Insight system
• Complete Data Entry
• Control and address the account surveillance process using applicable Insight screens
• Control and address report review
• Escalate unsolved violations and problems to Management
• Other duties and tasks as assigned
• Working with vendor to update systems
• Cost basis and date of death processing

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalency; some college preferred
• 1-2 years' Financial Services experience not required
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft offices)

Compensation:

For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the City of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary is $50,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
