Primary Objective of Position:

To provide neat and clean guest rooms in line with standards and standard operating procedures to maximize guest satisfaction and room revenue.

Major Areas of Accountability:

1. Follows weekly schedule and daily assignment, changing schedule as directed by supervisor on duty, to provided required clean rooms.

2. Cleans guest rooms daily according to operational policies and standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

3. Maintains cart and vacuum cleaner to maximize job efficiency and present a neat and orderly appearance.

- Stocks cart correctly

- Replaces and empties vacuum cleaner bag daily

- Cleans cart and vacuum cleaner on a regular basis

4. Reports all “DO NOT DISTURB” signs or bolted door rooms to Housekeeping Office at the specified time to ensure guest safety and maximize guest satisfaction.

5. Organizes and cleans linen closet to ensure quality and quantity of contents for maximizing job efficiency.

- Checks stock to determine adequacy

- Pulls damaged and/or rewash linen

6. Locks linen closets to ensure maximum safety and security always.

7. Acquires working knowledge of resort and in-house facilities to respond to guest questions in this area as required.

8. Attends meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among company employees, promoting maximum morale, and productivity.

9. Adheres to scheduled work hours, is punctual and gives ample notice if unable to meet schedule to assure smooth operation of department.

10. Performs all accountabilities in a timely and efficient manner, following established company policy and projecting a favorable image, to achieve objectives, public recognition, and acceptance.

11. Attends meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among company employees and promote maximum morale, productivity, and efficiency.

12. Keeps immediate superior promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention to facilitate prompt corrective action when appropriate.

13. Performs related duties as required or requested.

Shift Differential:

$1.00 more when working on weekends

Requirements

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, twist, push, pull, and stretch.

- Must be able to work on feet 8 hours a day

- Must be able to lift maximum of 20 lbs.
