Night Watch

Location: 3205 N Twyman Rd, Independence, MO 64058 

Hourly Pay: $19 to $21

Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday 9:00 pm - 7:00 am.

Are you a dedicated night owl with a passion for supporting adolescents on their journey to mental wellness? As a Night Watch, you’ll work with a multidisciplinary team to support teens aged 12-17 in improving their mental health and well-being. You’ll provide a consistent presence throughout the night, helping with anything from homesickness to emotional challenges. If you're driven by a sense of purpose and ready to contribute to the well-being of others, we invite you to join our team and make a real impact.

Responsibilities

• Make an impact by providing mentorship and fostering a safe, engaging environment for teens.

• Guide teenagers through evening routines and teach effective coping strategies.

• Receive training in safe verbal de-escalation and physical intervention techniques to manage difficult situations.

• Oversee facility upkeep, conduct routine safety checks, and complete assigned tasks.

• Document progress notes daily and communicate key updates to the Shift Supervisor, Program Director, and clinical staff, as needed. 

Qualifications

• Age: 21+

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED is required; associate’s or bachelor’s in human services, psychology, criminal justice, or a related field preferred.

• Experience: 1+ year working with adolescents in behavioral health, education, coaching, or mentorship preferred.

• Certifications: CPR and First Aid preferred (training provided).

• Background Checks: Must pass pre-employment drug screening and federal/state background checks per Missouri law.
