Senior Software Engineer (Quality Assurance)

Alert Innovation, now powered by Walmart, is a fast-growing venture on a mission to reinvent retail through robotics. We’ve partnered with Walmart to develop our Alphabot® technology, which is currently being deployed at stores throughout North America.

We’re seeking a talented and motivated Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to work with a cross-functional team to qualify new and exciting features in our web application used to monitor our warehouse automation system. This position focuses on developing test plans for new functionality and creating automated and manual functional, regression, and performance tests. You will play an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets the client's needs. Our work is challenging, fun, and rewarding. WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON: 

• Work with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive test plans for new functionality.
• Develop efficient test strategies for the different systems making up the product.
• Develop and execute automated and manual smoke, regression, functional, and acceptance tests working in conjunction with the development and test frameworks teams
• Report defects and investigate/debug failures.
• Identify trends in failures and implement countermeasures to prevent recurrence of failures.
• Initiate and participate in process improvements.
• Occasion travel to the client site.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Experience with Python, Javascript and HTML.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interest in learning new systems and technologies.
• Experience with Test processes, open-source test frameworks, test design strategies, writing test cases, and automating tests in Python with frameworks like Selenium or Robot Framework.
• Experience working in a CI/CD Environment like Jenkins.
• Experience using source control software and project management software like GitHub or Jira.
• Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering and 6 years of experience or Masters in Computer Science or Engineering and 3 years of experience.
