That's why we're looking for a talented Software Engineer to join Procore's journey to revolutionize a historically underserved industry.

As a Software Engineer on our Knowledge Platform team, you will be a core member focused on delivering our vision of an optimized strategy and process to keep Procore's Search capabilities refined and feature complete. In this role, you'll join our highly collaborative Product and Engineering organization to drive the technical direction of our projects.

This position will report to our Engineering Manager, Knowledge Platform and can be based at our headquarters in Carpinteria, CA, on the bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, in our office in downtown Austin, TX, or as a remote worker anywhere in the United States. We're looking for someone to join our team immediately.

What you'll do:

• Evolve our existing codebase to function outside of our current monolithic Rails application to a flexible and robust service
• Participate in designing and building a system that aligns with Procore's technical vision of a service-oriented architecture
• Design libraries and experiences to provide users with actionable applications for their data
• Work up and down the stack to ship code for our Rails backend and our React frontend, and dive deep into our data pipelines
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and UX to design and build solutions that delight users and solve critical business problems
• Perform code reviews, write application code, and create internal tooling

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred (or comparable work experience) 
• Development and Design principles (Ruby on Rails, Python, C++, Java)
• Experience documenting and driving process improvements
• Familiarity with modern web development, including development, testing, staging, deploying, and monitoring
• A curious mind that is driven to innovate and solve customer problems
• Empathy for users and the ability to understand user pain points

Additional Information

Base Pay Range $80,000-$110,000. Eligible for Equity Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
