Your Role At A Glance
The Sales Specialist will drive revenue growth, expand subscription sales, and boost annual recurring revenue (ARR) while enhancing customer retention. In this inside sales position, the Sales Specialist will position Mastercam as a premier solution provider by delivering exceptional customer service and executing strategic sales initiatives.
The Sales Specialist is an inside sales role focused on driving transactional revenue within existing customer accounts. This includes add-on licenses, small-scale expansions, and quoting support. This role does not carry account ownership but works in close coordination with regional account managers to support day-to-day sales execution and ensure strong customer engagement.

How You’ll Drive Success
Sales Execution And Strategy
- Drive transactional sales by managing and closing smaller-scope, high-velocity deals such as additional seat licenses, renewals, and incremental expansions with existing customers.
- Support the field sales team by owning quote generation, order processing, and timely follow-up on active opportunities and customer inquiries.
- Maintain high responsiveness to inbound customer requests and coordinate with customer success and finance to ensure a seamless sales experience.
- Ensure CRM accuracy by logging all customer interactions, updating opportunity stages, and supporting pipeline integrity to enable reliable forecasting.
Collaboration
- Coordinate with Regional Account Managers on strategic accounts and more complex deals, including training or services.
- Partner with the Inside Sales – Renewals team to support account retention when appropriate, without owning the renewal cycle.
- Work with Customer Success, Finance, and Technical Support to deliver a seamless experience for the customer.
Performance Monitoring
- Track key sales metrics such as response times, quote-to-close ratios, and transactional revenue.
- Contribute to regional forecasting by maintaining accurate opportunity data in Salesforce.
- Participate in regular team reviews to identify gaps, share insights, and support continuous improvement.
The Talents We’re Seeking
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3 – 5 years of inside sales experience, preferably in a subscription-based or SaaS environment.
- Proven success in driving revenue growth and improving customer retention.
- Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce and sales enablement platforms.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for communication and reporting.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools like Teams or Asana.
- Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) and AI-enabled sales tools for insights and decision-making.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Results-driven with a customer-centric mindset.
