Team Overview
BlackRock’s PSG team is responsible for using BlackRock’s scale, industry knowledge, and risk management capabilities to build and expand partnerships with leading financial institutions, achieving the delivery of high-quality service to our firm’s clients. To achieve each of these goals, PSG develops and implements a forward-looking provider strategy designed to increase operational efficiency, provide risk and cost visibility, and flexibility as our business evolves, leading to an enhanced client experience. To balance our relationships, PSG executes a global provider governance model that combines quantitative and qualitative components, encompasses a consistent engagement program between BlackRock and our partners, mitigates operational risks, and sets parameters for the selection of new partners.
The Role
We are looking for an extraordinary teammate to join PSG as part of the Relationship Management team leading our engagement and strategic partnership with Digital Asset Providers. They will drive strategy by supporting BlackRock’s fast-growing business needs and will directly contribute to our long-term strategic vision.
Responsibilities
Manage and implement the relationship strategy around BlackRock’s key technology and service providers in the Digital Assets space
Serve as a key interface between Digital Asset Provider senior management teams and BlackRock Digital Asset product strategy, operational, technical and legal partner teams; Leadership responsibilities across the global team, representing BlackRock as a primary face-off to our Digital Asset Provider partners
Develop positive relationships with internal constituents to evolve and execute on our Global Provider relationship strategy. Act as a crucial point of escalation for all major Digital Asset Provider related matters
Communicate relationship status to BlackRock executive leadership team and internal partners
Proactively address risks using metrics and management information to hold Providers accountable for service excellence
Stay ahead of industry developments and ensure BlackRock is positioned for scale
Lead or take part in Provider evaluation and selection exercises such as RFPs and RFIs in the Digital Asset space; Drive commercial terms negotiations in concert with legal and other stakeholder teams
Lead strategic meetings, projects and initiatives with a focus on Digital Asset platform operations
Facilitate PSG’s third-party risk oversight program integration across existing and new Digital Asset Providers; Partner with L&C, internal audit, RQA, and operational teams to perform risk assessments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
You have...
A BS/BA degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related field, advanced degree preferred
10+ years of professional experience in the Financial Services industry; Professional experience in the domain of Digital Assets
Outstanding career achievement, with demonstrated leadership and results
A strong understanding of both the Asset Management and Digital Asset industry trends and challenges
Broad knowledge of investment product operations including technology, legal structures, fund types and financial and regulatory reporting
Excellent written & oral communication skills; Experience interacting effectively with executive, investment, sales, product, operational team
The ability to run effective cross-functional meetings; Strong organizational and planning skills including the ability to multitask
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Action-oriented problem solver capable of working cross-functionally to drive execution
The ability to lead projects and work in a dynamic evolving environment with the expectation of adhering to Fiduciary obligations
High level of intellectual curiosity
