Seeking a PRN Advanced Practice Provider for Pre-Admission Testing at UH Tripoint with the opportunity for additional PRN shifts at UH Lake West and Beachwood Medical Center.  Minimum PRN requirements: three 8 hour shifts of availability in a 6 week period. Prior experience in settings with comprehensive health assessments preferred. Must have at least 1 year of APP experience to be considered.

A Brief Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws.

  • Contributes to the educational development of staff, patients, family and self

  • Provides education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and to promote professionalism
  • Advances own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education and participation in peer review

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
 

Qualifications

 

Education

  • Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program (Required)
  • (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Required)

Experience Qualifications

  • 1+ years as a Physician Assistant Required
  • 1+ years as a Nurse Practitioner Required

Skills, & Abilities

  • Demonstrated leadership skills. (Required proficiency)
  • Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships. (Required proficiency)
  • Computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe. (Required proficiency)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook. (Required proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

Physician Assistant:

  • Physician Assistant (PA) (Required) and
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) and
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)<
