The Business Technology Go-To-Market (GTM) team builds solutions that enable Workday's growth strategy while providing outstanding Customer and employee experiences. The GTM team designs and develops innovative applications for our Marketing, Sales, Services, Customer Support & Legal business functions using technologies such as Salesforce, SnapLogic, Conga/Apttus, AWS, Adobe Experience Manager (Cloud), Coveo Search Platform, Okta and others.

About the Role

This hands-on technical leadership position is critical in the development of innovative solutions and frameworks to solve business challenges and opportunities. This role will be responsible for leading development teams and supporting projects through the full software development lifecycle, including solution design phases. This role directly manages IT application developers and works closely with the Business, maintaining the overall Solution Architecture framework and providing direction to our broader Business Technology Go to Market (GTM) and Salesforce Platform teams. This role will also extend to working with partners on new product evaluations and recommendations. In this role you will: design, influence and develop consolidated user experiences with Salesforce Lightning, help determine the Workday GTM portfolio of tools in partnership with business leaders and work with the Platform, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Services, Support and Finance Go To Market teams.

About You

Basic Qualifications

• 12+ years software development experience, with at least 5 years as a direct or indirect people leader, building applications and features in large-scale codebases
• 8+ years of experience developing Salesforce Apex Classes, Controllers, Triggers, Visualforce, Force.com APIs, Algorithms and data structures, and Web Services
• 8+ years of industry experience as a Salesforce.com developer or architect
• Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years experience researching, designing, developing, demonstrating and testing high quality functional and marketing prototypes and end-to-end solutions on the SFDC platform, based on industry best practices as well as business needs
• 8+ years of successfully implementing and deploying AppExchange products

Other Qualifications

• Salesforce Technical Architect certification is highly preferred
• Building Salesforce integrations using scripted data loader, web services, cloud or on-premise middleware
• Referenceable examples producing effective solution designs to meet business requirements
• Applied experience in Visualforce, APEX programming, Force.com APIs.
• Experience delivering full lifecycle implementations on Salesforce Service Cloud (preferred experience delivering three or more full life cycle implementations)
• Demonstrated track record designing, configuring, customizing and implementing applications and 3rd party integrations
• Proven ability to successfully interface with business analysts and technical staff, taking overall responsibility for delivering complete work products
