Job Description Summary
Maximus Federal, a leading provider of innovative business process management and technology solutions for the Federal government, is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Sr. Principal Architect, Federal Data & AI Solutions who is an accomplished technical leader, proactive customer-focused advocate, and a team player. This role will be responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership, and operational excellence in AI governance, standards, and building solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of AI landscape including the Tools and Technologies, a strong grasp of industry best practices, and the ability to lead and collaborate. You will bring a deep understanding of Engineering best practices, extensive experience in Digital Transformation and a proven track record of success in leading cross-functional teams.As a member of the Federal IT Solutions group, the candidate must be able to operate independently and demonstrate experience leading/guiding a team to architect, develop and implement business applications.The candidate will be staying on top of the latest AI technologies and adept at applying them to create innovative products and services and lead the way in integrating cutting-edge AI solutions.Key Responsibilities:•Lead the development of Data & AI products taking them from prototype to production. •Create high-level and detailed design plans for AI and ML production solutions, including selecting appropriate AI algorithms, data sources, infrastructure, and technologies that align with Maximus as well as goals and constraints of agencies.•Work with data engineers and scientists to ensure effective data collection and preparation for training AI models.•The candidate will provide technical solution support during proposal development process, to include technology stack selection, solution architecture, and implementation methodology.•The candidate may be required to lead and manage a team of senior architects / analysts to engage internal teams to architect solutions, facilitate solutions design and manage implementations.•Responsible to guide and support RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, response development including writing of whitepapers and concept development.•The candidate will be required to develop and provide presentations and demonstrations of technology solutions to both internal and external stakeholders.•The candidate will be responsible to maintain vendor partnership levels and develop a strong vendor relationship with the technology counterpartsEducation and Experience:•Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university required. Master’s Degree is highly preferred.•Understanding of current federal solution space and federal government initiatives•At least twelve (12) years of experience in the Federal IT or Software Development. Fifteen (15) strongly preferred •Multiple years of experience architecting and developing AI or machine learning solutions on platforms such as AWS, Databricks, Azure, Google Cloud, OpenAI.•Hands on experience with Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or one of the other major Cloud providers•Demonstrated ability to effectively inspire and influence teams and partners in delivering technology enabled business solutions that meet business needs.•Technical professional experience building scalable enterprise applications with high availability and reliability. Strong technology affinity and experience, as well as attention to detail and the ability to design, execute against strategic goals.•Broad knowledge of software engineering: languages, frameworks, techniques, industry trends, etc.•Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills to senior management both internal and external including SMEsAdditional Requirements as per Contract/Client:• U.S. Citizenship
Job Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the technology design and definition of software solutions.
- Work with Maximus systems and operations staff to design cost-effective integrated technology solutions comprised of both in house and commercial off-the-shelf products.
- Act as lead technical representative and spokesperson supporting pre-marketing and proposal activities.
- Drive the decision-making for technical decisions in conjunction with systems technical staff.
- Document technical strategies to facilitate operational business needs.
- Review federal, state, and company policies to determine applicability to systems functionality, design, and operation.
- Develop strategies to fulfill requirements and assess effectiveness of implementation.
- Collaborate and coordinate with appropriate internal and external groups to ensure the confidentiality and security of all corporate information.
