Strategic Account Manager - Automotive

Responsibilities:
- Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts. Track all relevant activity in our CRM System.
- Meet assigned targets for profitable sales growth as outlined through Workday Goal Setting process.
- Co-ordinate the involvement of Freudenberg Performance Materials personnel, including R&D, Quality, Production and Management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
- Create appropriate sales strategy for each customer that includes routine service visits, price management, competitive environment and new business development opportunities.
- Prepare sales forecasts, margin improvement plans and sales related reports to support Management decision making process.
- Maintain customer data, quotes and opportunities using our CRM system. Including trip reports and strategic customer interactions.
- Represent the Automotive Business Segment at trade shows and conference.
- Handle customer complaints with support from Quality Team using Compliant Pro complaint process. Disposition of Non-Conforming Materials.
- Actively seek out new applications/opportunities for current product portfolio.
- Support inventory management to keep working capital as low as possible, while maintaining high customer response levels and short delivery lead-times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in business, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, material science, textile technologies and/or other relevant scientific/engineering disciplines.
- Master of Business Administration is preferred
- Automotive industry experience or Nonwoven experience is required
- 5 to 10+ years of experience in automotive technical sales and/or account management for Nonwoven industry
- Customer-driven mentality, self-starter with good technical experience and excellent customer relationship skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships at multiple levels.
- Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude.
