Position Summary:
The Research and Bioimaging Specialist for FAU’s on-site laboratory school, A.D. Henderson University School (ADHUS) and FAU High School (FAUHS), performs a range of activities in support of the research departmental functions, including assigned academic functions, development activities, providing support for faculty, staff, and students across two campuses.
- Manage FAU High School Owls Imaging Lab, including equipment, supplies, collaborations, graduate teaching assistants, student training, tours, and curriculum integration visits
- Develop and deliver curriculum to support the science standards being taught in kindergarten through 9th grade in the Elementary Lab and the Owls Imaging Lab
- Teach university research methodology courses as a part of the FAUHS Research Program, including but not limited to, Multidisciplinary Introduction to Research (EDF 2910) and Multidisciplinary Research Methods 1 (EDF 2911), Multidisciplinary Research Methods 2 (EDF 3912), and Multidisciplinary Research Methods 3 (EDF 3913)
- Mentor FAUHS Research Program research students
- Assist with the coordination and execution of research competitions
- Manage external funding initiatives, including identifying funding opportunities, organizing proposal writing with research team, overseeing grant submissions, and assisting in management of grants during post award period.
- Conduct independent research
- Coordinate aspects of the FAUHS Research Program, including adding courses to the university schedule, advertising course offerings to students, helping students receive registration permission, managing Canvas sites, participating in team meetings, and editing the department websites
- Collect data, manage data, and generate reports on lab school research initiatives
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
• A master’s degree from accredited institution in a STEM field.• STEM research experience at the graduate level.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of college/university teaching experience.
• Research mentorship experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
