Hours: Tuesday & Thursday, between 3p - 8p


 

Job Description Summary:


 

Supervises children in a childcare environment and implements age-appropriate curriculum and activities. Ensures the safety and well-being of the children and maintains the childcare space.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures safe and effective supervision of children, reporting as needed to parents or appropriate leader.
  • Implements childcare curriculum and activities.
  • Provides a welcoming environment for children and parents.
  • Maintains cleanliness and order in the childcare space.
  • Maintains all required documentation in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Education Requirement:

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

Certifications:

CPR training upon hire, required.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to supervise and provide direction for groups of children.
  • Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.

Experience:

Experience working with young children, required.

Physical Requirements:

OCCASIONALLY: Climb stairs/ladder, Color vision, Communicable Diseases and/or Pathogens, Depth perception, Flexing/extending of neck, Patient Equipment, Sitting, Working Outdoors

FREQUENTLY: Audible speech, Bend/twist, Blood and/or Bodily Fluids, Decision Making, Lifting / Carrying: 0-10 lbs, Lifting / Carrying: 11-20 lbs, Lifting / Carrying: 21-40 lbs, Loud Noises, Peripheral vision, Pushing / Pulling: 0-25 lbs, Pushing / Pulling: 26-40 lbs, Squat/kneel, Standing, Walking

CONTINUOUSLY: Computer skills, Hand use: grasping, gripping, turning, Hearing acuity, Interpreting Data, Problem solving, Repetitive hand/arm use, Seeing – Far/near
