Boeing Defense, Space & Security is hiring a Senior Design and Analysis Engineer located in Hazelwood, MO to be part of the Electrical & Equipment team.

The Electrical & Equipment team is responsible for power architecture and design, electrical equipment technical management, electrical installation design, wire harness design, and integrating avionics and other equipment into the vehicle.

This role will be focused on power architecture and design.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.

  • Coordinate work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs, and interface specifications.

  • Work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.

  • Work with suppliers to ensure delivery of hardware that is compliant to procurement requirements.

  • Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

  • Research technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

  • Make recommendations for technology investments.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 14+ years of related work experience and a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience and technical education

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • ABET accredited degree

  • Previous experience in the defense or aerospace industry

  • 14+ years of experience in electrical power architecture design and analysis

  • 14+ years of systems engineering experience involving system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis and evaluation, verification

  • Good organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned work with a history of meeting commitments

  • Ability to adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Highly motivated and works well in a team environment
