Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Level 5 Systems Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex enterprise-level systems. This senior-level position requires exceptional problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead and mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect complex, scalable, and resilient enterprise systems
• Lead large-scale infrastructure projects from conception to implementation
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Perform high-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for critical issues
• Optimize system performance, security, and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT infrastructure with business goals
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and methodologies
• Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols for all designed and developed that ensures detailed project documentation. Document all system configuration changes in accordance with Information Systems Security best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and manage system requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Document system requirements, configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and deployment of server resources provided by third-party cloud services and software updates.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering or related IT roles
• Knowledge of various operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows Server)
• Extensive experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and implementation approaches.
• Knowledge of containerization and microservices architectures8.Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools9
• Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, problem-solving abilities, adaptability to changing environments, and leadership qualities.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Emerging Technologies:

• Familiarity with AI, automation tools, DevOps practices, or industry-specific technologies like blockchain or IoT.
• Network Improvement Experience: Experience in scaling IT operations to support global markets and implementing process improvements.
• Manage and support cloud infrastructure services, ensuring availability and scalability. Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers, ensuring system integrity and optimal performance.

Network Security Experience:

• Implement and monitor security measures, conduct regular audits, and ensure compliance with IT security policies.

Experience Preferred:

• 10+ years’ experience with requirements and contract analysis for United StatedGovernment Agencies.
• 10+ years’ experience with building cooperative enterprise scalable solutions for on-site,cloud, and hybrid solutions for Systems as a Service solutions. Including Infrastructureas a Service, Platform as a Service and Data Platforms.
