Job Description
The primary function of the Field Operations position is to manage and operationalize field-based plan of action strategies, initiatives and plans to maximize field force effectiveness, business outcomes and patient care by working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Market Access teams. This includes ensuring field forces are optimally deployed with the correct territory alignment, that they are targeting the right customers, with the right call plan. The person in this position will act as a change agent for field deployment and operations, to drive continuous improvement and establish best practices for the sales organization.
This is a hybrid position in our Waltham, MA office. Qualified candidates may be considered for a remote position.
Responsibilities & Skills:
- Manage field deployment, size, structure, territory alignments, and placement efforts across franchises by partnering with key stakeholders to ensure field teams are optimally deployed to achieve commercial objectives.
- Identify, prioritize, and manage initiatives that improve sales force effectiveness, performance, and productivity.
- Assist in the development and execution of a field communications strategy.
- Work closely with field operations team members to ensure Veeva CRM, incentive compensation, and other operational needs are met as they relate to brand teams.
- Identify process dependencies, inform and coordinate with CxI&O and cross-functional teams to ensure deployment is optimized and downstream processes are efficiently executed.
- Facilitate communication between field operations, insights, data science, and other internal teams to ensure alignment on timelines, and expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Analytics, Marketing, Data Science or other related fields is preferred
- 5-10 years of related work experience
- 5+ years in performing business analyses aligned to Field Deployment, Size and Structure, Targeting, Alignment, call plan development with supporting skills/experience in the commercial pharmaceutical/biotech/Rare disease business
- Demonstrated experience in one or more field operations functional areas - sales force effectiveness, Incentive Compensation, sales performance reporting/analysis, Veeva CRM
- Excellent project management, communication, planning, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coordinate and execute across multiple project deliverables
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Power Point
- Prior experience in Field Communications, Field On/Offboarding, Credentialing, Fleet Reimbursement Program is a plus
Additional Information
The base salary pay range for this role is $130,000-$175,000 annually. Actual pay for this position will take into account factors such as experience and location. In addition to a base salary, this position is also eligible for a competitive 401k match, short and long-term incentives, medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD and life insurance benefits, in addition to other health and wellness programs and offerings.
