The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on a highly motivated Sr. Consultant, Supplemental Health Claims to support our ever-growing claims organization in a work from home environment. 


Background details
As a Sr. Consultant on our Supplemental Health Claims teams, you will lead a growing team of Supplement Health Claims Specialists. You and your team will be responsible for administering and managing requests relating to Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital Indemnity Claims. What you'll be doing

  • Leads the processing and administration of all aspects of complex claims for our Supplemental Health products (Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital Indemnity) ensuring accurate and timely claim management.
  • Develops and executes claim initiatives which have substantial impact on the success of claims handling, enhance the customer experience and successfully meet the annual business operating priorities.
  • Directs and provides leadership to continually improve the capability and results within the Supplemental Health Claims organization.
  • Partners with internal Product, Strategy and Enablement teams to drive execution of strategic priorities. 
  • Collaborates with internal and/or external stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery of more complex claims.
  • Monitors and assesses trends in claims, identifies opportunities, and implements industry leading, best practices to enhance the customer experience and improve claim management effectiveness.
  • Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.
  • Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the department.
  • Establishes and implements priorities, performance goals and objectives to ensure group results.

What we’re looking for

Must-haves: 

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) 
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Supplemental Health Claims (Critical Illness, Accident, Hospital Indemnity)
  • 2+ years of supervisory/leadership experience 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay Range: $87,700 - $159,900 

 

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
