Job Summary

 

The Area Security Manager is responsible for managing contract security and safety services while maintaining strong client relationships to ensure compliance with contract requirements and exceptional customer satisfaction. This role oversees daily operations, financial performance, staffing, and administrative functions, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality service and operational excellence.

 

The Area Security Manager provides leadership, oversight, and accountability across multiple client accounts, supervising a small team of managers and administrative staff. Responsibilities include recruiting, onboarding, payroll coordination, training, quality assurance, and the implementation of performance improvement initiatives.

 

Operational experience working in contract security is preferred. Clients will include school districts, county-level governments, event venues, air carriers, warehouse and logistics facilities, commercial accounts, and others.

 

This position’s base office will be in Hoffman Estates, IL, with regular on-site client visits and occasional remote work permitted.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality customer service through regular client engagement and proactive issue resolution.
  • Meet regularly with clients to review security, safety, and emergency management matters.
  • Oversee operations managers to ensure optimal staffing levels and cost control; develop and maintain staffing schedules that meet contractual and operational requirements.
  • Monitor budgeted costs against actual expenditures and analyze financial and operational indicators to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain non-billable overtime below 3% through effective labor management.
  • Recruit, train, and develop high-performing staff while fostering a culture of professionalism, respect, and accountability.
  • Assist operations teams with the implementation and startup of new accounts.
  • Proactively suggest operational and financial strategies to management that improve the execution and financial performance of the branch. Seek to continuously improve client accounts while safeguarding the company. Present strategies to leadership.
  • Manage administrative and payroll processes across assigned sites.
  • Lead and/or assist client meetings and presentations to promote customer satisfaction and identify service expansion opportunities.
  • Represent Andy Frain Services in the local community and support business development efforts.
  • Evaluate industry trends and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Perform other related duties as required to achieve operational and financial objectives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
